Hardwood floor refinishing
Although you can purchase pre-finished hardwood flooring, unfinished hardwood flooring must be sanded and finished once the installation is complete. Newly installed unfinished hardwood flooring requires finishing. This allows more room for you to apply your personal preference, such as the stain or type of finish that you would want use.
To properly finish hardwood flooring the use of power tools and specialized skills are required. Floor finishing equipment necessary include the drum sander for sanding hardwood floors, power edger used to sand the areas that the drum sander cannot reach (like the edges of the room, steps, closets, etc.), and the floor polisher used for applying the finish and/or stain.
